Agreement
These terms apply to your use of www.2391prep.co.uk, operated by Webrich Software. By using the site you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site.
What this site is — and is not
This is an independent revision aid for the City & Guilds 2391-52 electrical inspection and testing qualification. Content is written against BS 7671:2018+A4:2026 and HSE guidance current at the time of writing.
It is not:
- a substitute for BS 7671, the IET Guidance Notes, or any other published standard — always work from the current edition of the standard itself
- a substitute for formal training, assessment or the judgement of a competent person
- a design tool, or a basis on which to certify an installation
- affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to City & Guilds, the IET, the BSI, the HSE, or any awarding or certification body
Names such as "City & Guilds", "2391-52" and "BS 7671" are used only to describe the qualification and standard this material prepares you for. All trade marks are the property of their respective owners.
Accuracy, and the limits of it
We take accuracy seriously. Questions, explanations and reference material are written against named sources, counts shown on this site are generated from the app's own data rather than typed by hand, and where a figure has not been verified against a current source we say so rather than guess.
Even so, standards are amended, guidance is reissued, and mistakes happen. Content is provided "as is", without warranty that it is complete, current or error-free. Passing a practice quiz on this site is not a prediction that you will pass the real examination.
Always verify against the current published standard before relying on anything here in real work. If you find an error, please tell us.
Calculators
The calculators on this site implement published formulas from BS 7671 and reproduce values from its tables. They are revision and cross-checking aids. They do not account for the particular circumstances of any installation, and a result from them is not a substitute for the full calculation, the published tables, or competent-person judgement. You are responsible for verifying any result before acting on it.
Practice questions
The questions on this site are a sample from the 2391 Inspection & Testing Pro question bank. They are written by us to reflect the syllabus; they are not past papers, and they are not supplied or approved by City & Guilds or any awarding body.
Questions, explanations, study guides, reference material and images on this site are our copyright. You may use them for your own revision. You may not copy, republish, scrape, resell or redistribute them, or use them to train a machine-learning model, without our written permission.
The app and subscriptions
2391 Inspection & Testing Pro is distributed through Apple's App Store and Google Play, and is subject to their terms as well as ours. It is free to download, with an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks the full question bank and toolset.
Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, depending on where you downloaded the app, not by us. They renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel a subscription in Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions on iPhone and iPad, or in the Google Play Store → Subscriptions on Android. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their standard policies; we cannot issue them on their behalf, though we are happy to help you find the right place to ask.
