In the app

The tools you take on site

Certificates, inspection schedules and test schedules that live on your phone. These stay in the app — they write to your device, sync through your own iCloud account and export signed PDFs.

There is no web version of these tools. They hold job records, customer details and signatures, and they belong on your own device rather than on a website. This page describes exactly what each one does so you know what you are getting before you download.

The calculators, quick reference and fault coding trainer do work in your browser, right now, for free.

Visual Inspection

Schedule of Inspection

The full Schedule of Inspection, split into ten sections, tickable on site as Pass, Fail or N/A with a note against any item.

Every item carries the BS 7671 regulation it comes from, and items that bear directly on safety are flagged so they stand out while you work down the board.

10 sections, 63 items
  • Consumer Unit / Distribution Board 8
  • Protective Devices 6
  • Cables & Conductors 9
  • Wiring Systems 5
  • Earthing & Bonding 7
  • Isolation & Switching 5
  • Protection Against Fire 5
  • Accessories & Equipment 7
  • Special Locations 5
  • Documentation & Notices 6

Dead Testing

Schedule of Tests

The dead-test sequence in the order BS 7671 Regulation 643.1 requires it, from pre-test checks through to earth electrode resistance on a TT system.

Working through the list in order is the point: continuity before insulation resistance, insulation resistance before polarity, and nothing energised until the whole sequence is signed off.

6 sections, 43 items
  • Pre-Test Checks 6
  • Continuity of Protective Conductors 7
  • Ring Final Circuit Continuity 9
  • Insulation Resistance 10
  • Polarity 6
  • Earth Electrode Resistance (TT Systems) 5

Live Testing

Schedule of Tests

The live-test sequence after safe energising — loop impedance, RCD operation, prospective fault current, phase sequence, functional testing and completion.

Nine sections covering the tests that can only be done with the installation live, including the special-location checks and the documentation that closes the job out.

9 sections, 64 items
  • Pre-Energisation Checks 6
  • Earth Fault Loop Impedance (Zs) 9
  • RCD Testing 11
  • Prospective Fault Current (PFC) 6
  • Phase Sequence & Supply Verification 5
  • Polarity (Live Verification) 4
  • Functional Testing 10
  • Special Locations 7
  • Documentation & Completion 6

Digital Certificates

EIC / MEIWC / EICR

Build an Electrical Installation Certificate, a Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate or an Electrical Installation Condition Report, then export a clean PDF.

Customer and installation details, supply characteristics, Ze and PFC at origin, circuit details, inspection items, observations and the overall assessment — held on device, synced through your own iCloud account, and exported as a PDF you can send from the van.

  • EIC — new installations and work including a board or consumer unit replacement
  • MEIWC — additions and alterations to an existing circuit
  • EICR — periodic inspection of an existing installation
  • Reusable engineer profile so your details are filled in every time
  • Draft, complete and exported states, with a saved certificate log

EICR Coding Guide

C1 / C2 / C3 / FI

What each classification code means, the action it demands, and worked examples of observations that attract it.

The reference you check when you are standing in front of something and are not certain whether it is a C2 or a C3 — and the one that decides whether the report comes out satisfactory.

Fault Coding Trainer

Classify EICR observations

Practice classifying real EICR observations, then check yourself against the correct code and the reasoning behind it.

Coding is the skill the 2391-52 tests hardest. The trainer drills the judgement rather than the definition — you can try the same scenarios on this site before you download.

How the tools work day to day

170 checklist items

Across visual inspection, dead testing and live testing, each with the regulation it comes from.

PDF export

Certificates and completed checklists export as PDFs you can send from the job.

Saved history

Reopen a previous inspection or certificate rather than starting again.

iCloud sync

Your records follow you between iPhone and iPad through your own iCloud account.
