Table values for maximum earth fault loop impedance ($Z_s$) in BS 7671 are stated at a conductor temperature of 10°C or 20°C. During field testing, conductors are at ambient temperature, so measured $Z_s$ must not exceed 80% of the tabulated maximum value:
